Frankly words fail me. Laser correction is, in my opinion, a procedure were no one really knows what the long term effects my be. Get to and ophthalmologist ASAP!!! They will be able to asses the damage you have done and perhaps rectify it. If you have burned holes in your retina then there is no way back. Sorry but you are a complete bloody idiot. Philip Optician.

That you would even try such a thing suggests a problem with sanity.

Have you considered brain surgery? I'm sure you can find an ice pick somewhere...

Of all the stupid things I've heard this is the hardest to believe. It says right on the laser not to look directly into the beam, and now you know why. I'm afraid you will have to live with one eye damaged from now on. You've burned holes in your retina, and these blind areas are there for good. Fortunately you only hurt the one eye.

There is no need to stop breastfeeding because of regular laser lasik surgery. There are some major eye surgeries though where they confine your every movement (like surgery for detached retina) in either case please be certain whether or not you really need to wean. Contact la leche league there are groups in every neighborhood.

I am not sure why you would have to give up breastfeeding fro a couple of months after this surgery - go back to your surgeon/ pre-op clinic and clarify things. I would have thought it would be a week or so at most. I think if you stop feeding any longer than that you will have real problems relactating, even if you pump regularly. Have a look on www.kellymom.com which is ful of useful info about BF
